The house signature is the ROP mark: a vertical red line with the Online 1989 name. The red house tag and fingerprint are also part of its visual identity.

Qaadir Atkinson is the founder and creative director of Online 1989. Also known as music producer Neo Da Matrix, he began customizing boots, sneakers and clothes at fifteen. Hip-hop, street culture and music inform the house’s approach to fashion and self-expression.
Why 1989?
The name connects two beginnings: the proposal for the World Wide Web in 1989 and the year Atkinson’s mother overcame addiction. For the founder, those events represent connection and the possibility of starting again. The brand itself was founded in 2023.
